Privacy Policy

Lineup operates lineupcompanies.com. Lineup is a trade name of GSA LLC, a private Iowa company, and is not affiliated with the U.S. General Services Administration or any government agency. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it, in plain language.
When you sign up for the free Sourcing Map
When you submit the sign-up form, we collect the email address you provide. If you click one of the optional buttons on the thank-you page (for example, to get our email letter), we record that choice, tied to your email if you signed up during that session.
We also capture basic attribution data automatically when you land on the site: which link or campaign brought you here (UTM parameters, ad-click IDs), the page you landed on, and the page that referred you. This is kept in your browser's session storage, which clears when you close the tab, and sent along with your sign-up so we know which channels are working. It is not linked to any advertising profile beyond what your browser already shares.
When you buy the Playbook
Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. You enter your payment details on Stripe's checkout page, and Stripe receives them; we never see or store your full card number or account details. If you choose a pay-later or wallet option there (such as Klarna, Affirm, Cash App Pay or Amazon Pay), you finish paying with that provider, which receives the details you give it under its own privacy policy. From Stripe we receive your name, email address and billing address (at least country and ZIP code, which Stripe uses to calculate sales tax), along with the amount, date and Stripe's order reference.
We keep a purchase record (your email address, billing country, the amount, the date, Stripe's order reference and when your download page was first opened; your name and the rest of your billing address stay in Stripe's records) so we can deliver and re-send your file, handle refunds, and keep the records tax and accounting rules require. Purchase records are kept for as long as those rules require, even if you ask us to delete the rest of your data. A notice of each sale (your email address, billing country, the amount and the order reference) goes to our internal team chat (Discord). Stripe emails your receipt.
Data we use to stop spam
When a form is submitted, our server looks at a few details of the request to tell people from bots: whether the page's own script sent the form, how long passed between the page loading and the form being sent, and whether a hidden field that only bots fill in was filled. A submission with that hidden field filled is discarded. Other submissions that look automated are stored separately with the reason, labelled as suspect in our internal notice, not counted as sign-ups, and not emailed. Like any web host, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abusive traffic.
What we do with it
We use your email to deliver the Sourcing Map and, if you opted in, our email letter. We use purchase details to deliver what you bought, answer support requests, process refunds and keep tax records. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we share it only with the service providers named on this page, to run the site and fulfil purchases. Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details. Sign-ups and sales are forwarded to our internal team chat (Discord) and stored in our own event log; neither is a third-party marketing platform. Email to and from support@lineupcompanies.com goes through Microsoft, which hosts our mailbox.
Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare says it "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics," and that it doesn't "fingerprint" individuals via their IP address, user agent or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics. We see only totals, such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types.
This site's code can also load a Meta Pixel and Google Analytics (GA4), but both ship turned off and send nothing. This page will be updated and published before any visitor data or email address reaches a new processor, such as an ad tag or an email-list tool.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any email we send and we'll remove you from the list by hand, promptly. You can also email us to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted; we'll delete everything except purchase records we must keep for tax purposes.
